Walk the paseo with us, shake out the cobwebs, then stay for a live DJ set and a proper coffee in the sun. Everyone welcome, whatever pace you walk at.

What happens on the day
Three hours, five stops, one very good playlist
Turn up at eleven and we will take care of the rest. Nothing here is compulsory apart from enjoying yourself.

Gentle warm up
A few minutes of mobility and stretching so nothing complains later. Led by one of our practitioners and genuinely gentle.11.30
The community walk
Three kilometres along the paseo and back, flat the whole way. Walk fast, walk slow, walk with the dog. Prams and small legs entirely welcome.From 12.30
Café con Disco
Paul Hutchinson takes over the decks in The Clubhouse Beer Garden. Coffee, juices, cold drinks and snacks are all there to buy. Dancing is optional but it tends to happen anyway.From 1pm
Make a day of it
Stay on for lunch at La Sala. Lunch is separate from your ticket and must be booked and paid for in advance directly with La Sala.

A proper live set in The Clubhouse Beer Garden to close the morning. Expect the kind of music that makes standing still quite difficult.

The Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities of Mijas, Virgen de la Peña. A non profit founded in September 1999 by a group of parents of children with intellectual disabilities.
They support people with intellectual disabilities and their families across the area, and every euro of profit from this event goes to them.

The usual questions
Not hard at all. Three kilometres in total, flat the whole way along the paseo, and we go at a chatting pace. If you would rather do half and turn back early, that is completely fine.
Please do. Under-16s join in free and count towards the 100-person capacity. Add them when you book so we have the right numbers. Prams are no problem on the paseo. No drink is included with a free child's place.
Comfortable trainers and something you can move in. Bring a hat, sunglasses and sun cream. September on the coast is still warm at midday.
The warm up, the walk, the DJ set and one coffee at Café Sala. Any extra drinks and snacks are available to buy on the day, and lunch is booked separately.
Most people do. This is a community event and the whole point is meeting people, so you will be talking to someone within about four minutes.
If the organisers cancel the event, ticket holders will receive a refund. Otherwise, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the paseo. Just check with Café Sala about the seating area when you arrive.
