Preparing for a menopause clinic appointment

What to note beforehand so that your appointment can focus on the changes that matter most to you.

A few notes made before your appointment can make the conversation clearer. You do not need a perfect record. A short, honest picture of what has changed is useful.

Consider noting when symptoms began, how often they happen and how they affect sleep, work, relationships or exercise. Bring an up-to-date list of medicines and supplements, and include any relevant medical history.

Questions worth taking with you

Write down the two or three questions you most want answered. It can also help to ask what the available options are, what benefits and risks apply to you, and when any treatment should be reviewed.
